Will it change my files without asking?

No. Renaming, moving, overwriting, deleting, emailing and publishing wait for your approval under any preset, and every AI revision saves a checkpoint first.

Do my files get uploaded?

Editing happens on your disk. Content leaves only for the cloud step you asked for — an AI action, a share, a connector call — and only what that step needs.

What does a run cost?

Runs draw on the same monthly AI allowance as the rest of the app, and every account gets one free. You can cap what a single run may spend; at the cap it stops and reports.

Which engine runs it?

Can I start a job from my phone?

Yes. A quick question runs in the cloud on its own; a job that needs your files is handed to your paired desktop and streamed back. You can dictate the goal and have the answer read back.
